Even Start is a family centered educational program providing adult, parent and early childhood education through cooperation with existing community sources.

 

All Services, including Transportation and Child Care, are FREE!!!!

 

 

Your family is eligible if...

  • You live in Trumbull County

  • You have at least one child 7 years of age or younger

  • You did not complete high school  (or)

  • You need to improve your reading writing and/or           math skills

  • There are no income restrictions for Even Start

 

 

Services Provided:                                               

  • GED Preparation

  • ABLE (Adult Basic Literacy Education)

  • Preschool Education

  • Parent Education

  • Parent and Child Activities

  • Lunch

 

 

You Will:

  • Learn about family literacy

  • Learn about child development and behavior.

  • Sharpen reading, writing and math skills.

  • Prepare for a GED or college entrance exam.

  • Explore community resources.

  • Gain essential skills for finding and keeping a job.

 

 

Your Child Will:

  • Develop valuable learning and social skills.

  • Have fun reading with you.

  • Enjoy activities with parents and family members.

  • Learn to enjoy school.

  • Prepare for success in school.

  • Participate in fun parent child fieldtrips.
