Trumbull Community Action Program’s new
Apprentice Training Program
may be just the opportunity for you! We hire
unemployed, income eligible residents of Trumbull
County to become apprentice-trainees and learn a
variety of mechanical and construction skills from
our on-staff mentor. All apprentice-trainees will
be paid an hourly wage for the duration of the
training program. The training will include
hands-on instruction in the areas of basic
carpentry, porches, steps and railings, basic finish
carpentry, window and door repair, drain and faucet
repair, electrical fixtures, outlets and switches,
and helping people avoid repair scams. Upon
completion of the program, a number of
apprentice-trainees will have developed the skills
necessary to enter the workforce directly or even
start your own small business. In some cases,
apprentice-trainees will be prepared to enroll in
further educational institutes.
