ORCHID: To the Trumbull Community Action Program as it is offering a food co-op for people facing economic difficulties. The co-op is being previewed this month and will begin in February. A room in the organization's building at Palmyra Road has been transformed into a small food store. It will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants will pay a $15 annual membership. The program was made possible by a grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. TCAP also offers a senior service program that provides light cleaning, companionship and errand-running to the store. Program eligibility is based on income.
